Rosalie Haizlett

A birds eye view of the artist, Rosalie Haizlett, working on a large watercolor and ink art piece. On the table surrounding the artwork are various art supplies.
I use illustration to honor and celebrate the places and creatures that often go unnoticed. My goal is to remind viewers of the amazing intricacy of our planet in an attempt to encourage environmental stewardship.
Recently, I was honored to be the Artist-in-Residence at Great Smoky Mountains National Park and with the National Audubon Society. My clients include the Smithsonian and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
I am also an educator. So far, I’ve enjoyed teaching watercolor & outdoor observation workshops in schools, national parks and REI stores. I’ve also taught tens of thousands of students online as a Top Teacher at Skillshare. My first book, Watercolor in Nature: Paint Woodland Wildlife and Botanicals with 20 Beginner-Friendly Projects, was published by Page Street Publishing Co. in November 2021.
